Brief Bio

Mr. Wilson is an applied econometrician with extensive expertise in developing empirically-based solutions for both customer facing (B2C & B2B) and internal support (e.g., Business Intelligence) applications. His 20+ years of experience spans a variety industries, successfully leading initiatives across Marketing, Information Technology, Finance, and Operations (both staff & line) organizations.  His previous engagements have included leading "critical path" project teams of up to 20 professionals, as well as key "thought-leadership" and individual contributor roles.

CoreLogic SafeRent – Rockville MD (2001 - 2013)

· General Manager - Analytics & Software Engineering  (2001 – 2006), Consulting Economist (2006 - 2013)

Responsibilities included managing a development/analytics team prototyping and building empirically-driven products, while supporting an ASP platform generating a $14M revenue stream in the multifamily housing sector.  Specific accomplishments included construction of the industry’s first statistical (risk-based) scoring algorithm/web application for assessing “renter risk” ScorePLUSTM, an automated property risk assessment tool for asset acquisition (i.e., Property Performance AnalyticsTM), development of client-centric products incorporating psychographic and GIS technologies to improve client-based operating/marketing performance and designed key performance indicators and dashboards used for both internal and customer-facing leasing processes.          


eyeRIS Inc.  -  Denver CO (1999 - 2001)

· Director/Principal – Product Development & Infrastructure (start-up founder)                                             

Responsibilities included core product development activities for cost allocation/customer profitability (eyePROFIT) and benchmarking/pay-for-performance (eyeSEE) solutions, delivered via an ASP platform targeting the telecommunications/utility sector.  Startup accomplishments included implementation of a MS Project based Agile/XP requirements/tracking methodology used by the development and implementation teams (12), research support for whitepaper and web marketing efforts, establishment and oversight of core financial reporting & administrative functions (i.e., AR/AP, payroll, benefits, recruiting, and IT procurement) and related firm governance matters.   


US West (Qwest) - Denver CO (1997 - 1999)

· Sr. Manager, Special Projects – Marketing-Operations Planning

Served in a variety of “key responsibility” roles: (i) financial business case analysis for opportunities in business development, marketing and operations areas; (ii) recruited and managed a operations research staff (6), reporting to the CFO, applying analytical methods to the firm’s operational databases for the development of the Enterprise Modeling Tool - an executive level financial planning/simulation platform; and (iii) managed analytics and IT development teams (14) in the construction of a $10M performance management platform, supporting an integrated scorecard & pay-for-performance system (1st successful deployment in the industry), for 8,000 union field technicians – responsible for all phases of the project (from requirements and resource scheduling to field rollout and the development of training video and supporting collateral).


Sprint PCS – Denver CO (1996 - 1997)

· Manager of Competitive Pricing & Analysis                                             

Responsibilities included analysis of market intelligence for the finance & marketing organizations, reporting to the VP West Region.  Finance accomplishments included establishment of competitive - MSA specific - pricing plans for product/feature bundles, analysis of marketing mix/spend and associated customer/revenue forecasting responsibilities.  Marketing accomplishments included customer segmentation, and competitive coverage area and roaming assessments and served as West Region liaison for customer database warehousing, billing and allied IT initiative/support efforts with corporate.


Deluxe Corporation (Current, Inc.) - Colorado Springs CO (1994 -1996)

· Manager - Markets Analysis                                        

Responsibilities included management and identification of customer segmentation efforts, competitor intelligence, market testing, sales analysis, and general analytics support for functional areas (e.g., Finance, IT Circulation, Forecasting, Promotions, Merchandising, Legal) in a direct marketing environment.  Accomplishments included the implementation of an “offer-based” segmentation strategy, redesign of the market testing area, and the construction of financial/forecasting models for evaluating the sensitivity of alternative promotional incentive scenarios.


Economic Analysis Corporation - Tempe AZ & Westwood CA (1991 - 1994)

· Senior Economist                                           

Responsibilities included supervision of consulting research staff (8) pertaining to corporate financial analysis, industry analysis (e.g., regulatory/antitrust issues), forecasting, and market assessment for a variety of engagements.  Specific tasks pertained to the direct preparation of work product, statistical modeling, econometric forecasting, production of deliverables (e.g., written reports and graphic exhibits), client coordination activities, and new business development (e.g., proposal preparation/presentation).


Coopers & Lybrand - Phoenix AZ (1989 - 1991)

Responsibilities included production of financial and statistical analyses for the practice areas of general business consulting, logistics, real estate and utilities throughout the western U.S.  Accomplishments included SAS Administrator for engagements involving database or statistical issues, supervision of staff (e.g., up to 25 Associates on S&L asset valuations), and proposal preparation.  Many of the engagements were technical in nature applying multivariate and risk simulation assessment techniques to asset valuation, market potential assessment, cost/benefit studies, regional economic impact assessment, and location & target industry studies.
